On the 9th of July we headed out for our family vacation. It was much needed and we had a great time. We stayed in Island Park in a cabin. We drove up on Saturday and since we couldn't check in until 4 we decided to go into West Yellowstone. We shopped and ate until around 7 when we decided we should head back to Island Park to find our cabin. On Sunday, we just bummed around the cabin. Kyle forgot church clothes so we didn't go with the others to church. Monday we drove to Jackson Hole. It was quite the drive. I don't think I would do that drive again. If I were to do it I would have gone home the Jackson way so we wouldn't have had to drive the 2 hours at 9 at night! Poor Aspen got sick that day and was not a happy camper. In Jackson, we just walked through the shops and went to dinner. Clif got sick that night from dinner. Tuesday, we went into Yellowstone. We should have just done a cabin day because it was pouring rain the whole day. We went into Old Faithful that day and stayed around there most of the day. Wednesday, Clif got sick and was sick the whole day. But he didn't want to stay at the cabin so we went into Yellowstone again. This day we went to many hot pots and this is the day we saw tons of wildlife. We saw elk, coyote, bear, & buffalo. Thursday, we went into West Yellowstone and went to the Bear and Wolf Discovery Center. Wyatt really liked it there. Mostly, because it had a playground. Friday, everyone stayed at the cabin. Kyle and I didn't want to sit so we went into Yellowstone and went to different parts we didn't see the other 2 days there. We also went back to the Discover Center mainly to let Wyatt play. Then on Saturday we drove home. That was basically our trip except for going to dinner. We mainly had sandwiches for lunch and went to dinner. Wyatt did pretty good the whole time. When we were shopping he would get bored after about an hour. But, Kyle did so awesome to entertain and take care of him. Wyatt did not want me the whole trip and has yet to want me. He got also pretty irritable on the long long car drives. During the trip Wyatt was into cap guns (got and broke 2) and suckers! Grandma sure spoiled him! Oaklee was just a trooper and went with the flow. She is such a perfect baby. We had the funnest time and are so glad we were finally able to go on a vacation. I have so many pictures so I'll just post a few.
