Stats

We got a tiny package nicknamed Soy Sauce!  She is growing but very slowly.  Here are her stats:

Weight:18.32 lbs-9%
Height: 25.97 in-3%
Head: 16.9 in-4%

I was shocked to see that she is that little.  She looks bigger than she really is.  And the funny thing is she eats a ton.  I need to start weaning her a little from the binky and maybe the bottle.  I'm torn on the bottle because I like the routine we have going right now.  And she is still interested in warm milk after meals.  Here is some fun information about her at this stage for my recollection:

*Eats 3 meals and 3 bottles a day (I guess she should be having snacks...but she never seems hungry between meals)
*Still sleeping great (minus a couple nights here and there due to teeth coming in)
*3 top & 2 bottom teeth
*12 month clothing but it's huge (had to switch out of 6-9 because it's too cold)
*Size 3 diapers
*Getting protective of certain items (minnie blanky that's actually Oaklee's, her new baby doll)
*Starting to voice her frustrations (ie screaming in the high chair to get out)
*Loves roaming finding new toys to play with or chew on
*Crawling and pulling up on furniture, not walking and not interested...not even walking along furniture
*Loves baby dolls
*Starting to clap
*Loves to be held/cuddle except at bedtime

SJ Is ONE!!!

Well another year has come and gone.  Sawyer is 1!  Looking back during this year has been fun.  It's hard to believe she was so small.  She has sure gotten to be big thanks to her love for food.  She loves to eat!  I'll have her stats next week after her appointment.  I miss the newborn stage, but I won't lie, it was a very tough transition for everyone.  I didn't get out of my funk (ppd?) until about February-March.  It was not fun but I can't pinpoint the way bad so I guess that means there was more good that came about.

I took the kids down to my favorite location for pictures, the Ogden Botanical Gardens.  It's so gorgeous there, even in October!

Matching girls

I don't know why it's fun sometimes to wear matching things.  We got the girls these pjs last summer.  We didn't get the appropriate sizes so Sawyer is wearing a size 2T.  They were off of her when I got her out of bed the next morning.  I actually got mine about 2 years ago.  Oaklee begs for us to wear them every night since Saturday.  We're getting quite the girl bond the past few months.  Oaklee has been a huge help with Sawyer.  Brushes her teeth, gets her snacks, and plays with her.  I need to start doing date nights with Wyatt.  We need a stronger bond since the only really one on one time is doing homework.
Wyatt feels left out a lot with the girls having matching clothes

Read Randoms

I haven't taken near the amount of pictures I usually do.  It's kind of a good thing because then I don't have to pay so much to develop photos!  Things are crazy around our household.  Our basement flooded at the end of August resulting in almost complete demolition of the whole downstairs, I was put in the Relief Society presidency in July, Wyatt starting 1st grade, & lots of other things coming up.  But, we have made it through and are still surviving.  I can't wait to have the basement finished so we can start saving again.  We are so blessed though with a house over our head (I'm thankful even though I complain about it a lot!), pantries & food storage overflowing, healthy bodies, dependable cars, & FAMILY who loves us and supports us.  Jason fixed our downstairs and saved us so much money.  I'm so thankful for his willingness to serve and the time I got to spend with Dawn.

Teething monster!  Who needs baby toys when you have siblings' toys?

Oaklee made a "bed" for them to lay on.  Love that clutter and mess?  Yes it's there everyday!

Big smiles for me tonight!  I love you can see all 4 of her teeth.  I think her top eye teeth are coming in also.

Wyatt's crazy hat!  For his school fundraiser if he sold 2 boxes of candy bars he could choose a crazy hat.  They didn't have too many to choose from but he seriously chose this pink flying pig!  He loves it!

Temple Open House

We went the last day it was open.  It was really busy.  I wish we could have gotten in earlier but I didn't get tickets early enough.  And the day we originally were going to go we got to volunteer.  But, it worked out great as my birthday celebration.  The kids really enjoyed it.  They were a little antsy and wanting to talk.  I think it's because it wasn't very reverent and they kept seeing other kids acting out.  All in all it was neat to be able to use it as a great teaching lesson.  I can't wait to go do work there.  Planning on in it in 2 weeks.  My goal is to get there at least once a month.

Wow

I've been not so great at keeping this updated.  Things have been so crazy around here and too many things aren't getting done.  One thing I have been really needing to do is this blog and my journaling.  At the beginning of July I got called to the R.S. Presidency.  It's such a new experience as I have been in Primary since 2004!  It's a busy calling and I'm getting accustomed to it.  Right after that we were getting in school mode.  Getting back in school has been an adjustment as Wyatt has some things he needs to work extra on at night besides homework.  I'm coming to realize though that I need to cut out some of it.  It's just getting to be a lot and taking out family time.

It was conference weekend.  I always look forward to them to know what I should be working on more.  Coming away from all the talks the past 2 days have made me a little concerned.  There are many things that need some attention to and perfecting in my life.  I am such a stress case as it is that my mind has been wandering non stop the past few hours.  Trying to figure out schedules of when I can get more things done and when I can make it to the temple.  Talks on prayer, family home evening (we do just not as planned & prepared as probably needed), temple attendance, scripture study (I've been studying more ensign talks & Daughter's of My Kingdom), service, family time,  & exercise/healthy eating.  I'm doing fairly well on some of them but not so great at a lot of things.

I feel so much pressure from myself to have and be this spectacular being.  A lot lately has been with decorating and having a perfect clean home and being creative with my children.  I'm trying to remember that I am a girl who loves simple.  I'm not a person who loves to spend time preparing things.  I want quick and easy with most things.  I'm trying to remember that my home doesn't have to be the most gorgeous and perfectly decorated home.  It's just hard to be ok with what it is when you see all of these talented ladies on social media.

Anyway...these are just some of my thoughts as of late.  I do have some pictures I would like to put up soon.  Forgot to mention that a lot of time has been spent on our basement.  At the end of August we had a flood from our washing machine.  They cut out 2 feet of sheet rock out from the majority of the basement.  Jason and Kyle have been fixing it all.  We are finally done besides carpeting and putting everything back together.  I can't believe how much work it has been.  I was able to spend many days/nights with my sister and her kids.  It wasn't lonely!

I am blessed and will just pray for comfort and guidance!
