Family Photos

We did family photos in October for Christmas Cards.  Wyatt was not being cooperative so we didn't get too many photos.  Plus, it got dark real quick.  But the ones we did get turned out fabulous!  Thanks Amber.  Your work is amazing.

9 Month Photos

For her 9 month photos we did family pictures at the Ogden Parkway again.  We did these the 2nd week in October.  Here are here single shots:

8 Month Photos

Oaklee's 8 month photos were taken in September.  We did them at the Ogden Parkway MTC Park.  They turned out so so cute!

Day #17-Food...Love me some good food.  As you can tell I like it a little too much!  But I am grateful that I don't go hungry and can have food in my home and a food storage.

Day #18-Ward Ladies.  Mainly the 2 ladies I just served with in Primary.  They were such amazing women to serve with.  Both would do anything to help me out.  They both have a strong testimony and it was shared most in their sharing time teaching children.  I am so sad to think I have to serve with other women now but I know I will come to love these ladies as well.

Day #19-Pictures.  I am very grateful for a camera that takes pictures.  I love that I can look back over the years and see different things we did and the fun we had as a family.  I love to look back and see the differences in the kids from when they were babies.  Makes me a little sad that they are growing up but I love that I can have something to remember what they looked like as babies.

Day #20-Music.  I am a music person.  One thing I miss about working is I listened to a lot of music.  I love the feeling that I get when I am listening to music.  It puts a smile on my face.  I love how church music can change the mood and my feelings and get me in that spiritual feeling I need.  Music also motivates me to get my exercising on!

Day #21-Water.  Water of all kinds.  I love that I can take a nice warm shower after a workout.  I love to drink water also after a workout.  I am thankful I have water to wash dishes, laundry, bodies, everything!

Day #22-Temple.  I am very thankful for temples.  I love everything about them.  We had the opportunity to go to the Logan temple this past weekend and do sealings with my parents.  I just love the peaceful feeling I receive when I step in those doors.  It is a miracle that whatever worries I had before I arrived seem to just leave my mind once I step in those doors.  Just thinking about them brings a peaceful warm feeling.

Day #23-Socks and Shoes.  I really don't have a shoe fetish like my husband thinks I do haha.  But I am thankful I don't have to walk around in bare feet.  I do love the feeling a cute pair of shoes makes me feel.  Sometimes it even makes the outfit!

Day #11-My freedom.  Being veterans day, this only seems fitting.  I don't think about it too often I don't know why.  But I need to really dig into my feelings and put appreciation where given.  I am thankful to all those who are serving or have served.  Those who are leaving their families for our sake.  It would be so hard without a spouse for months.

Day #12-Crafts. This may sound silly and during the process I get a little overwhelmed and exhausted, but I love the turnout. I have gained a new hobby of wood take and makes. Just yesterday, I completed 3 and half way through my 4th. I have got to have amazing kids since I was at the kitchen table for like 6 or 7 hours. I felt really bad about 9 when I was cleaning up. So, today is all about kids day. I love though that I can have some me time doing things I enjoy.

Day #13-Smells...I am grateful candles/scents.  I love when I walk through my house and smell a good something!  It gives me a good feeling and puts a smile on my face.  It gives my home a welcoming safe feeling.

Day #14-Baby wipes.  This sounds so silly but I use them for everything.  I used them before even having kids.  Although, they are more handy for poop diapers.  I wouldn't want to use rags and wash them out after each wipe.  I can find a use for them in every part of the house.

Day #15-Fireplace.  I love our fireplace.  I love the look, the mantle, and the real reason for having one.  We have done more fires already than probably the whole time in our house.  It makes the room so warm and cuddly.  It also is peaceful.  I find myself or Kyle just staring into the fire in deep thought!

Day #16-Books.  I am always wanting desperately wanting to read my books and I hardly ever do.  But, I make it a daily activity to read to Wyatt.  His books are more important to me right now since he can't read.  Since starting to do this daily, it is so amazing how much he wants to read.  He lights up when he asks if we can read books.  Some of his favorites are mainly the characters he loves.  Scooby Doo, Arthur, Curious George, etc.

Thanks Continued...

Day #4-Family....this includes everyone I am related to.  I have most grateful the last couple days for Kyle's cousin.  We were in much need of a closet of some sort and fast!  The armorer we had bought 3 years ago was falling apart.  He came to our rescue with only a weeks notice.  I have the best family ever.  They listen to me complain, give advice, support my decisions, and everything in between.  All of them will drop whatever they have to come to my aide.  I am so grateful to be blessed with brothers and sisters.  Each one of them have taught me and continue to teach me things.  I look up to everyone of them for different reasons.  And to boot, they all have AMAZING spouses that I love dearly.  Yes, it does get crazy with many different opinions/views and voices at parties, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE a big family.  For this reason, Kyle and I will have a big family.  I am not ashamed one bit.  I can't forget Kyle's family either but everything I wrote about my family is the same with his.  Except for there are only 3 kids and things don't get as hectic:)  (Which makes me surprised Kyle wants many children ha ha).

Day #5-Kyle's Job.  We have been blessed to have Kyle working with a great company who mostly cares about it's employees (more than RC Willey ever did).  Of course, there are is always the negative things about the job, but for the most part it is great.  I never imagined ever being able to stay home full time and raise children.  It was always a dream of mine.  When I worked at Kent's during the day, I remember seeing moms coming in and hoping I would get that chance to stay home.

Day #6-My Bed.  I can't imagine not having somewhere comfy to sleep every night.

Day #7-A Warm Home.  I know I complain a lot about my house and how I want to desperately move, but I am truly grateful that I do have a home.  And it is up to me if I choose to someday get rid of it.  Some people aren't as lucky and not own a home or even have a nice place to be warm.  I am trying majorly to just be even more grateful for my home even though it has flaws.  I think now that I spend the majority of my life in my home I am more picky about it:)

Day #8-Children's Movies.  Even more grateful that Wyatt is so mesmerized by them.  He is not a very needy kid most of the time.  As long as a movie is on, he is entertained.  He more than likely watches too much T.V. but I don't know that I really care.  I try my hardest to read every day and have some play time too.  But now that it is super cold outside, what else is a kid to do?

Day #9-Internet.  I love that I can stay in touch with my family on the east coast.  I should use it more to communicate with them though.  Sorry guys, I really do love you and miss you.

Day #10-Testimony.  I am grateful for the knowledge I have been taught.  Need to share it more.

Thanksgiving Post

I keep reading about everyone doing thanksgiving posts.  I thought I should do one to help me relax, enjoy the holidays, and see what great blessings I have been given.  The first couple of days are probably going to seem like the same old reasons.  But, they are the things that keep me going everyday.  So, I guess I am 3 days behind!

DAY 1-Kyle.  That could sum up all 365 days of the year that I am thankful for.  Now that we have kids, I realize how much I really love him.  He is a great listener, father, advice giver, problem solver, and the list could go on.  Even through all my weeknesses and faults, he loves me and over looks them.  Whenever I am down, he knows just what to do to get me back up.   I am so thankful to be blessed with in my life.

DAY 2-Mother.  I am thankful for my mother.  She is always there to listen to me vent on my bad days.  She is such a hard worker and taught all 6 of us kids how to work hard.  She is a great seamstress and is always mending things that I can't!  I love her so much and am thankful that she is here and always willing to help me out.  To sum up how much she loves me and my family, she took me and my kids down to Lagoon on closing day just so Wyatt could have the lasts of the season.  She made the whole day about Wyatt.  She is a great mother and I don't know how in the world she raised 6 kids by her self most of the time.  **And to think I want around 5 kids and Kyle is here most of the time!  I guess if she can do it, so can I!

DAY 3-Children.  I am so grateful for 2 healthy, most of the time happy children.  I am so blessed to have been given children to raise and to be a mother.  My days can be hard, stressful, busy, and everything in between, but I really do love it and them.  I love them so much and am so lucky to stay home and watch them grow everyday.

Extra Mile Award

Last night my mom was awarded the "Extra Mile Award".  It is only handed out to 2 people a year for Weber School District!  That means she is pretty spectacular.  My whole family (who lives here) went to the board meeting to support mom.  She is a spectacular mother and has shown us how to work hard.  I am so proud of her and everything she has accomplished.  She loves her job and goes out of her way to make sure all kids and employees know how much they are loved and appreciated.  I had my camera with me but I forgot to pull it out since I had a very bad 3 year old to deal with.  WAY TO GO MOM!!!

Halloween

I got so excited for Halloween this year and then it just flew by. We didn't to too much in preparation for it. I get to stressed out for dumb reasons and it takes the best of me and the holidays. I need to just enjoy them and quit stressing. During the day, we stayed home and watched the Halloween cartoons. Then we headed to the library to return some things and pick up new holiday books! On the way home, I took Wyatt to Dylan's for his free kids meal. We hurried home to let him eat it and get Oaks fed before the Trunk R Treat. We went to Dawn's Trunk R Treat this year. They had a big turn out. I was the only one to eat the potluck Chili dinner and homemade bread. It was fabulous! Afterwards, we went to Jake's house to say hello. Wy had such a blast while we were there passing out candy to the trick or treaters. He had so much fun he wanted to go to a few houses so we went to about 5 houses on Jake's street. We called it a night and came home to find we had like 3 kids coming at like 10:30 at night! I couldn't believe it. It was a fun day but I hope to enjoy it more next year.

Here are the pumpkins we carved.  Most of them were grown in our garden.  I forgot to take pictures during the process.

I have been trying to take more pictures.  Here are a few from the past month or so:
Still adores his kitties...this one is his favorite

This was really funny.  Wyatt was wanting Oaklee to wear a sticker but she kept pulling it off.  So, he went to her closet and put stickers on her clothes since she couldn't pull them off those clothes!

More stickers

Wyatt has been loving to take pictures...this is one he took

Painting

I decided to paint my fall leaves (you can see them in the background).  Wyatt insisted he paint his pumpkin.  I had to make sure to get pictures since I forgot to take pictures of him carving and painting his other pumpkins.
