Dresser Re-Do

This is a dresser we got from a guy at my mom's work last year. It has been sitting in our garage for the time being. I have desperately been wanting to redo it for Wyatt's room but we just never made it a priority. Then, along came pregnancy and we were forced to get things moving along. So, here are before and after pics. It actually cost a lot more than we were expecting. Part of that was because of us using too much stripper on it and didn't really know how to use it.

Nasty old dresser with the top sanded (you can also see the broken glider)

My hott hubby working so hard sanding it (we were so sick with colds
the weekend we did this)

Wyatt wanting me to take his picture when we were working hard

Another view of the dresser with the stain stripper

Wyatt the second day begging us to take his picture

View of the drawers with the stain remover on it

The finished product---I am SO proud of this. Kyle and I actually did such a good job.
I have the best husband ever. He has been such a handy man.

~~~KIDS ROOMS~~~
I promised Amanda I would put some pictures up of our kids' rooms now finished. I thought I would hurry and do it before we Skype tonight. Here are our pictures of Wyatt and Oaklee's rooms. I am so grateful to Kyle for working so hard this week and staying up so late trying to get them done. I was very needy wanting them done before the holidays. I so want to have everything done so we can just enjoy the holidays before Oaklee decides to make her appearance. Here are they are:
Oaklee's---her room is just basically colors; pink, green, & brown
Bedding
Her name I just did---her's was more fun to make than Wyatt's
View of name & stickers
Name above her crib---I love love love it!
Another view or her full name
Curtains, stickers on one of her walls (the valance was not wide enough so I had to
order another one:)
The once again "New" changing table...This thing has gone through so
much and a ton of spray paint! Didn't Kyle do a fantastic job? Also, love
my collection of lotions/body washes?
The "New" shelf that Kyle spray painted to match the changing table.
The other window w/valance
Another sticker
Wyatt's-----His room is Mickey Mouse and Toy Story. His nursery was Mickey Mouse so I decided to just transfer it over.
His closet door
Top of his dresser
His name---I just barely did these this week
New Toy Story stickers
Top of his entertainment center. The wire things were
from the Hollywood Video by Kyle's work. He got them
out of the dumpster and spray painted them. I think they look pretty spiffy.
Side view of his bunkbeds. And also, his curtains from his nursery.
~~~FRIGHTMARES

Last Friday I suckered my parents into taking me and Wyatt to Lagoon. Later we met up with my brother, his wife, and kids. We had so much fun that we are going again on Saturday. Too bad Kyle can't come with us and has to be home by himself. I think I am going to have a "honeydue" list to make sure he doesn't just sit!!! Here are some pics from that night....

Something to post

So...I have had nothing really to post about the last couple weeks. Then, I actually took some pictures. We went to Frightmares this past Friday and I actually took pictures! I was so excited to finally be able to post something and then our Internet has not been working for the past week. So, I promise there are at least 2 posts that I will do hopefully tomorrow if the internet is cooperating. Stay tuned!

No pictures post!

I wanted to update a little but I don't have any new photos :( I am still lacking in the take your camera with you area. This week was lets say hectic! We had something every day. We both had dentist appointments and I am cavity free (at least for this visit)! Kyle does have to go back and get 2 little ones filled. Pretty good considering he hasn't been in a year. Also, this week we had our targeted ultra sound. (Thanks to Dawn for watching Wyatt a little longer that day) We got the 100% girl confirmation! I smiled from ear to ear when she told us that. I was mostly excited to not have the hassle of taking every girl thing back. And excited to begin making bows and headbands. I went out that night to buy all the stuff! Other fun things this week was having a blast watching my nieces and nephews, sorting all of our boy clothes to get ultra organized, friend's baptism (Congrats Boots), spending ALL day shopping for Christmas, and last Kyle's friend's wedding. It was so hectic but made the week go buy so fast! I can't believe it's almost Monday and the work week begins. That's the update so far...

Birthday Fun

To celebrate my birthday with the Read's, we went to Chilis and then back to our house for Skookies. It was fun to relax and sit around and talk. The kids had fun watching movies in Wyatt's room and playing with toys. I always wondered if it was a good idea to have a T.V. in Wyatt's room. But, it hasn't really played an issue yet. Wyatt loves to watch movies (like father like son) and play with all of his toys.

Alexander announced that he is going to have another sibling! Congrats to Natalie and Alan. She is about 13 weeks apart from me. So, we will have Clif and Kristin's baby here in December, ours in January, and Natalie & Alan's in the beginning of April. The Read household will be interesting having 3 pregnant women around!

Update

This can't be long but I wanted to just brief about our last month...I bet this would be so much easier if I did it more often. We still don't know what baby is for sure. The last 2 appointments my doctor has said girl. So, I have bought everything girl and am looking forward to our targeted to know 100% sure. We have a few girl names that we like. I like Hadlee, Burklee, Payslee (Paislee), and Oaklee. Kyle doesn't like any of them but Oaklee. That is his choice. He always calls her Oaklee and is teaching that to Wyatt. So, who knows for sure. We will make up our minds before "she" is born.

Wyatt is growing so so much. He is learning so many words. He loves playing with his toys but most of all watching movies or cartoons. He is into Toy Story, Rolie Polie Olie, & Scooby Doo movies. We are still working on his picky food habits. But, I blame that on me and not cooking ever.

Kyle is possibly going to change his schedule to work 9-6 instead of 11-8. There are pros and cons to both and we can't decide for sure. I would love him home earlier so we could get more projects done and also spend more time as a family. It will also be a BONUS to have homemade dinners again almost every night (got to start budgeting more for groceries!). He is loving his job and all the overtime and on call (not necessarily for the working part but the pay). We are trying to pay off SUV tires, Park City clothing trip for both kids, and putting money into savings for Christmas and Hospital bills (no they are not here yet!).

As for me, I am just feeling like having a lazy day today. I got home from work later than usual and it was my early day. I was planning on coming home and taking a nap until it was 4:30 when I got home. I have just been working, cleaning, and playing mommy.

We have done some fun things this summer. We have gone to Lagoon, a little bit of swimming, Park City trip for my birthday, camping, bubble baths, & that's about it. With Kyle starting his new job, we haven't been able to go many places. We are hoping next year we can do some funner things as a family. I don't have many pictures as I neglect to carry our camera around. That is my new goal to not forget the camera on outings. So, the only new pictures I have are Wyatt in the tub. So for now this is our update!
