Frightmares

I can't believe I braved Lagoon 2 weekends in a row!  I don't get to do much but feed babies but it's nicer to be out and about than at home.  I'm hoping to get to go without the babies next weekend.  My kids seriously hate Frightmares and bawl when they know we're going.  But, I love it and we don't go by the scary stuff so I make them go!  Lagoon puts so much into the decor.  This last time it was Dawn and I.  Thank goodness for her because she would take my kids to do things while I would sit and feed the babies.

Wyatt was forcing everything!  He is worse than Sawyer at looking at the camera!

Bathtime Fun

Bath time with siblings is so fun...especially in this tub that's bigger than we're used to!

SJ is 2!

I seriously don't know where this past year has gone.  It does feel like 2 years since giving birth but it doesn't feel like it's been a year since she turned one.  I think it's because she hasn't been the whole focus as our baby since finding out about the twins.  I hate it!  I miss her and her milestones.  She has been so fun the past few weeks and turning into such a big girl.  I feel so bad that she has been sort of left to fend for herself at 2!  She even get forgot about and fits the middle child syndrome.  I'm trying to really focus more on her and remember her too.  Oaklee takes such good care of her.  Sawyer does get into a lot of stuff and has wrote on numerous things lately.  I think it seems she is more destructive because I can't watch her every move as easy as I could the other kids.  These twins sure take up a lot of my attention!  She is s very special girl and I am so thankful for her.  I love to cuddle with her in the morning and I love getting her ready.  She usually bathes with daddy and cuddles at night with daddy.  She hasn't had set nap times or sometimes no naps at all (unless you consider her falling asleep on the kitchen floor at 5 pm!).  I've been awesome at putting her down for naps this week.  I've been getting her down at about 3.  I've started doing this because by the night time she is so exhausted and gets ornery.  Plus I don't think it's good for her and I know she needs more sleep to grow.  It's hard though because I just put her in the crib and she cries for about 5 minutes.  She usually falls asleep within 10 minutes.  She understands so much better now!  Her bedtime time isn't consistent as we aren't great at making her go to bed (or Oaklee).  Usually it's about 9:30-10.  But she'll sleep about 10-12 hours.  She loves food and isn't too picky.  I don't think she has a favorite.  She does love oatmeal, eggs, cereal, fruit, fries, yogurt.  Basically anything.  She has all of her teeth except her molars.  I think she has 2 of them.  She loves her binkie and blankie.  She is talking so much and creating sentences.  I've been trying to not give the binkie as often.  When she doesn't have it, she talks a lot!  She isn't into the babies too much.  She'll occasionally try to hold them or give them a binkie.  She loves her sister and loves to play with Oaklee.  She likes Minnie and knows Doc McStuffins name.  But she doesn't seem to prefer a character.  She loves to play with toys and loves these princesses and Minnie that have dresses that come on and off.  She loves baby dolls and all that entails.  I don't doll her up as much as I did Oaklee.  I don't put necklaces and bracelets on nearly as often.  I'm trying to teach her colors and to be helpful.  She loves to throw diapers away and put things away.  She can be destructive and into a lot!  She sleeps in the crib for now.  She wants to sleep down with Oaklee but I'm not sure I'm ready for her to be downstairs.  She's getting close to potty training.  She'll either tell me she is going to poop or bring me a diaper when she is poopy.  She is even bringing a diaper when she is wet.  She doesn't like wet clothes so maybe she won't like we underwear!  She will be in a twin bed instead of the toddler bed.  That may stink to potty train that way.  I think that sums up my little stinker!  Took her to the Dr today.  Poor thing got shots on her birthday.

Here's her stats:
Weight-22.24 lbs-4%
Height-31.89 in-9%
Head Circumference-17.7 in-4%

I knew she was small as she has been since birth.  But after looking at Oaklee's 2 year post, she weighs a few more ounces than Oaklee did.  Oaklee was in the 21% for weight at 22 lbs yet Sawyer is in the 4% for weight at the same weight as Oaklee.  How does that make sense?  I thought it was odd.  I definitely thought she was way smaller than Oaklee was.  Maybe I had a typo on Oaklee's post.  I'd have to go search for her paperwork.  Maybe I'll do that tomorrow!  The Dr thinks she'll be about 5.1 and 100lbs...perfect for a drill team member that does the flying.

Twins are 2 Months!

I took the boys to their 2 month checkup on Monday.  They are gaining weight nicely.  There's not a whole lot to document from them as they don't do much and don't have many behavior differences.  Here's their growth stats:

Owen:
Weight: 8 lbs 5 oz-1%
Height:20.47 in-0%
Head Circumference:13.8 in-0%

He is and has been the chunkier baby.  He has reflux and spits up after most feedings.  I don't think it's because he's over eating either.  He does the occasional projectile but that's usually if he doesn't burp often.  I have come to know his cues when he may projectile or better yet when I need to hurry and burp him.  He does have quite a bit of wet burps too.  He doesn't seem to be refluxing from gagging like Sawyer either.  He gets pretty fussy when he spits up which it has to be painful.  I try to keep him up after spitting up and it seems to help. He's getting to the weight where he is so fun to cuddle.  He eats really well and burps great (if he's awake).  Owen in the womb was more wiggly and out of the womb he was such a calm baby.  Up until a few weeks ago he would patiently wait to eat.  Now, I tend to feed him first because his cry is so loud and he doesn't calm down as easy.

*Newborn diapers-He could switch to size 1 but I still have quite a few newborns still
*Newborn clothes
*Eats 3.5-4 ounces every 3-4 hours
*Sleep schedule is not consistent yet...Although the past 2 nights he did a 6 and 7 hour stretch.  I'm hoping this is here to stay!  The past 2 weeks it's been Owen waking up first to eat usually at 4 hours.
*Loves the swing and being swaddled
*Sleeps next to brother in bed and in the swing...both love it and snuggle right in
*Occasional tummy time-The boys seem more awake at this age than Sawyer but with him having reflux and spitting up it's hard to do tummy time.  Trying to do at least 5 minutes a day.
*Loud cry!  If he's hungry he doesn't settle down very easy with a binkie unless it's in the night then he'll soothe with a binkie for about 45 minutes.
*Takes a binkie but mostly only to soothe if he's hungry.  He doesn't suck it too often for comfort

Griffen:
Weight:7 lbs 0.5 oz-0%
Height: 20.31 in-0%
Head Circumference-13.6 in-0%

Griffen doesn't have reflux and only occasionally spits up.  He seems so small still!  He was always the more feisty one the first month or so.  But, he's starting to mellow out more and be patient to eat.  His cry is a lot softer and easier to hear!  He is usually the one to cuddle right in and snuggle Owen.

*Newborn diapers
*Newborn clothes
*Eats 2.5-3 ounces every 3-4..He may be upping his feeding to 3-3.5 as he's been eating more today
*Sleep schedule isn't consistent either.  He used to be the one that wouldn't wake.  But this week it's been Griffen waking up at 4 hours.  The past 2 nights he's done about 5 hours.
*Loves the swing also and being swaddled
*Sleeps next to brother in bed and in the swing
*Occasional tummy time-I should be better with him since he doesn't spit up but he hates it and usually eats second and so I get busy doing other things after he eats and forget to do it!
*Softer cry and easier to hear which is why I like him to eat second.  He will soothe down and for a longer period of time with the binkie
*Loves to suck the binkie

I think that's the best of their developments and personalities so far.  I don't see too much differences in personalities and they seem to keep switching them up on me!
