Kyle's side of the family went to St. George for a quick get a way. We were super busy in the 5 days we were there. We went down on Wednesday morning. The kids did awesome the whole way down. We left at 6 am hoping they would sleep plus we were trying to avoid traffic. The kids didn't sleep but they weren't terrible that day for no sleep. We got down there at noon, had lunch, and then checked into the hotel. Wyatt was obsessed with wanting to go swimming so Kyle took him down while I tried to give Oaklee a nap. We decided to go to some of the outlet shops. While we were there for a whole 45 minutes, we got a call from the credit union that our cards were compromised again. That sure took our attitudes to a dump. We ran around trying to figure some way of getting some money for the rest of the trip. We ended the night with dinner at Brick Oven Pizza and swimming.
Thursday we decided to go to Las Vegas. We didn't plan on doing a lot in Vegas, but did stay longer than planned. We went to Caesar's Palace for a toy store that has been turned into H&M. We went to Coke Factory, M&M Factory, and Circus Circus. We were in Circus Circus the longest where we watched a show, played some arcade games, and had lunch. While at the Coke Factory, we taste tested different beverages from around the world.
Friday we did things around St. George. We started out with a Dinosaur Meuseum (A WASTE OF MONEY), lunch at Subway, and then a Mountain Man Rendeveous. After that we were so bloody hot we took the kids swimming. It was so much fun with all the cousins together playing. After swimming we relaxed a bit then went to dinner.
Saturday was Zions National Park day. It was so dang hot and we started out with a hike in the pure hot sun. That took the energy out of us all. The sad part was it was only about a mile and there were no hills! But, with 3 kids walking, it took us quite a while. We did eventually get to an easier hike with some shade. The end result was worth it....WATER! By the end of playing in the water, both kids had just about had enough. I packed Wyatt in the infant packer all the way down. Come to find out he didn't want to walk back because he had blisters on his feet! We stopped for dinner on our way home and then of course ended in the night with swimming. Wyatt became quite the whale. He loved swimming!
Sunday started out quite horrible. At 2 am Oaklee woke up puking. I decided to go clean her bedding since I didn't want the car smelling icky the whole way home. She had puked 4 times within an hour. It was so dang sad her body convulsing like that. We gave her a bath and hoped that would help. It did for quite a bit. We had plans to do some Zion's shops that morning but didn't know incase she was still vomiting. By 9:30 she hadn't so we decided to keep with the plans. She hadn't eaten hardly anything but a bite of banana and a sip of juice for breakfast. Well, on our way into Zions, that all came up. We should have just turned around headed home. But, she started acting normal and didn't do anything else until after lunch. We had only made it to Cove Fort and we had pulled over 3 times. We were beginning to think we would not get home until midnight! Fortunantely, she fell asleep the rest of the way home. And she was better the rest of the day on Sunday and Monday. We are thinking she got heat exhaustion and dehydration from the first hike at Zions. The packer I have does not have a shade cover on the back.
All in all, it was a fun trip and ended too quickly. I'm excited for our trip to Washington coming up soon!

Sounds like a way fun trip and so fun to get together as a family with all the cousins. St. George & LV are fun places and I forget since it's been FOREVER since I've been there. I agree with D and you are looking AWESOME! Good work. I felt so sad to hear Wyatt got blisters and Oaklee got heat exhaustion. That's so sad but glad they ended up feeling better. You do have the cutest kids and family.
