OMG

First I wanted to say I have the best kids ever!  They were angels while I was shopping for 2 1/2 hours at Walmart!  Not many kids could pull that off!  I love them so much and glad that they still let me do things I love (and need) to do!  They never cried or complained.  At one point I even had them both asleep in the cart!

Ok...now on to why I am posting.  Kyle's cousin just put this up on her blog.  She is amazing as you all have witnessed over the past year.  I don't have my CD yet from the last photo shoots, but she is doing Project 365 which is where you take a picture everyday and post it.  That is going to be a goal of mine to do next year even though our camera sucks and I am in no way a photographer!  Oaklee made one of her days.  So grateful to her for doing her pictures.  Good thing she is family and reasonably priced!  We will go to her until the day we die!

Is the suspense killing you yet?

1 YEAR

Oaklee had to have her first year appointment.  She did not like it one bit.  But I don't blame her.  Shots and her blood taken.  She kept bleeding on one leg during a shot that she kept getting pricked at different times.  She was screaming like crazy until we left the office.  But, she has been a champ and hasn't let the sore legs or finger let her be grumpy.  Here are some things about our little diva:

*Wears 12 month clothes
*Has 6 teeth...4 bottom and 2 top with a third top coming in
*Doesn't want to wing off the bottle...but loves her sippy cups
*Takes one 2-3 hour nap
*Sleeps through the night
*Walks more than crawls (major accomplishment since Wy walked at around 17 mo.)
*Adventures through the house
*Loves to play with Wyatt and especially in his room
*Loves to snuggle and have me rock her
*Knows how to get her way already
*Screams when toys are taken away
*Sensitive when Wyatt gets too close
*Shy around lots of people
*Is a mommy's girl when daddy isn't home
*Signs please

Stats:
Height: 29 1/2 inches-70%
Weight: 20 lbs 2 ounces-30%
Head circumference: 25%

So pretty much she is below average little girl.  She does seem a little more petite than Wy was.  I love being able to compare the two together.  She is learning things so much faster than Wyatt.  Either because she has an older sibling or because she is a girl.  But, man she is very smart for her age...I think.

Happy Birthday!

Oaklee turned 1 on the 11th.  We started out with getting her dressed, finding her shoe with 2 quarters from the "birthday fairy", breakfast (muffins), and some baking.  I made cupcakes, cookies, and some littler cakes for her to dive into.  Then we just bummed around, decorated, and watched the funeral on T.V.  It was hard to get in the mood for her birthday when everything else was so somber.  I tried to make it a special day for her.  For dinner, Kyle brought home McDonald's (thanks to my dad for free big Macs).  Then we waited around for a bit for family and friends to come to her "party".  We decided the night before to have people over if they could.  We have been fairly busy on weekends with Kyle working so we just took a chance and did it on her birthday.  It was a fun night hanging out playing with her goodies.  I think Wyatt has enjoyed her toys more than her.  He doesn't share with her very much.  We are majorly working on that!

 What's in here?

Man was she in heaven!  She is an eater and not picky....yet

Love this picture.  She has her daddy's heart!

Playing around

When I found out I was having a girl, I instantly knew for her first birthday, I wanted to do pictures with a tutu.  The other night I was putting together her picture outfits and had to try them on!  Don't mind the carrots on her face.  I guess I didn't clean her dinner up to well! haha

I think I have a major girly girl on my hands.  She insists on wearing this necklace now.  She watches me put on jewelry and cries until I give her something.

Photography

An old co-worker and friend of mine does photography.  Her photos are so cute and look wonderful.  From what I can tell too, she doesn't photoshop everything to perfection.  She adds just enough but not too much that makes it look unrealistic.  You should check out her website http://www.patchworkphoto.com/.  Plus she is doing a free photo shoot!  Here is a pic she recently took.  Hope she doesn't mind I posted it.

Bedroom

I never did put up pictures of our closet that was built in our room.  For Christmas Kyle got me things to fix up the room.  I got a new comforter, valances, hamper, and a body mirror.  Here are some photos of the room.  It is way dark in there now which I don't like, but it's ok because it looks better than before!
We will be painting the doors this summer.

I need a few decor items for the top of the closet and side walls

New Year

I am excited to write this post so that I can in look back in a year from now and see how I did.  Some of the things I am going to make a goal of doing and other things are just ways I should be better.  Here it goes:

1-Teaching Wyatt letters, numbers, writing, etc
2- Not procastinating planning sharing time
3- Exercising WHEN my alarm goes off
4- Eating healthier
5-Cutting down portions and sweets
6-Reading scriptures everyday
7-Spend more time outside in the summer
8-Loose the rest of pregnancy weight (11 lbs) and more if attained that
9- Be happier with who I am and what I am achieving
10- Be more sociable at church
11- Read at least 3 books
12- Stress less
13-Minimize and simplify
14-Keeping blog updated
15-Talking with out of state siblings
16-Don't be on computer as much

That's all I have for now.  I may need to add to the list.
