The week before Christmas was when things finally slowed down. We had nothing at all the whole week. So, the kids and I did our normal weekday tasks. On Friday, Christmas Eve Eve we had a get together at Dawn's. We had dinner and then played Boxers or Briefs. It was a fun get together and we even managed to get a game in! We stayed pretty late so on Christmas Eve we decided to sleep in and relax. We finally got ready and headed out only to get Wyatt a hamburger. Then we came home and relaxed some more before heading to Mom and Dad Read's for dinner. At the Read's his mom does a prime rib dinner and we read the scriptures about Christ's birth. This year it was only Kyle and I, Grandma Read, Grandma Malone, and his parents. We were supposed to come home early so we could give the kids their pjs and get them in bed. But, we had taken a movie over and his parents really wanted to watch it. While the parents took home their mothers we bathed the kids and used the spare pjs at their house. I was bummed since we ruined the tradition so we just put them out from Santa. They got to wear them on Christmas night instead. Both kids passed out pretty early on Christmas eve while watching the movie. On Christmas morning we had to wake the kids up about 8:45 and got ready for Church. We were actually running early only because we didn't feed the kids breakfast. Instead we did what I hate to do and took bread and cheese with us to Sacrament. We mainly did that because we wanted a nice cushion seat to sit on since 3 wards were meeting. It was actually nice to have church on Christmas morning. Set a good feeling for the day. Wyatt actually didn't notice too much about Santa since he came downstairs. We did that so he would behave during church. After church we hurried home, changed clothes, and then went and scoped out what Santa had brought. By the time we got done we had to go to the Read's for lunch and gifts. We had a fantastic lunch and then everyone got spoiled rotten from parents and siblings. His parents got us a gift card tree which Kyle has been dying for. We only stayed there for a few hours then headed to Dawn's to visit for about an hour. We came home pretty early around 7 and let the kids play with their toys. It was a fun day but was kind of different this year. It could have been no snow, no parents, having church, and Kyle had to work the next day and started call for the next 3 weeks. It was nice not having to rush around though and just spending time together. Here are some pics from that day. I have determined I need to be much better at taking my camera places and then using it! And to think we want a nicer camera! I am kind of sad seeing we didn't get pictures of the kids opening their gifts from Grandma and Grandpa and Kyle and I had none of us either! I will be better at the Allen Christmas in a few weeks. I can't wait for mom and dad to be back!

I had to repost this picture. Wyatt set these up and took a picture. Also, you can see Santa left crumbs!
My cute little family ready for church. Wyatt would not wear his nice clothes.
Wy took this picture of us. He is getting pretty good.
This is favorite thing to do with slinky dog
He was a little upset that there was no scobby van. Little did he know that is what Alex had got him!

The kids in their new jammies and you can see his scobby van in the back!
This picture makes me a little sad because she is looking more of a little girl. Especially with her hair!
